Teams were randomly drawn in the following order:

Knockout Teams were drawn for player below the average total score after the group games, which was 35 points. They were drawn in the following order, with one team drawn per player, and with each team only able to be drawn once:
  1. Carie - France
  2. Matt - Italy
  3. Adam - Sweden
  4. Taylor - Norway
  5. Aimee - Germany

RULES

  1. Each player selects one team of their choice - this team will score double points throughout the tournament.
  2. Each player is drawn 1 team from each of the 4 group at random.
    • Each player will have a total of 5 teams.
    • Players cannot have the same team more than once.
  3. Teams get points during each match if they play well, or lose points if they are naughty.
  4. At the end of the group stage, players with more than the average amount of teams eliminated will be randomly drawn a Kockout Round team that will score points for them ONLY in the knockout rounds.
  5. Bonus points are awarded at the end of the tournament for football players in teams that are in the top scorer list, top assist list, or who have kept clean sheets (goalkeepers only).
  6. At the end of the tournament, whoever has the highest overall score from their teams will be the winner.

How the game is scored, for nerds...

  • Knockout Stage: Match win (after 90 mins or extra time): +3
  • Knockout Stage: Match draw (after 90 mins and extra time): +2
  • Knockout Stage: Win via penalty shootout: +1
  • Knockout Stage: Per goal scored: +0.25 (+1 point for every 4 goals)
  • All stages: Per foul: -0.01 (-1 point for every 100 fouls)
  • All stages: Per yellow card: -0.1 (-1 point for ever 10 yellow cards)
  • All stages: Per red card: -1
  • Bonus: Per Top Scorer: +0.25 (+1 point for every 4 goals scored by all top scorers on that team)
  • Bonus: Per Top Assist: +0.1 (+1 point for every 10 assists done by all assisters on that team)
  • Bonus: Per Clean Sheet: +1
  • Total points scored by your selected team is doubled.
  • A Knockout Round team only scores points for your total during the knockout round.
  • Players that share the same points total we be ranked based on the following:
    • Most Wins >
    • Most Goals >
    • Least Fouls >
    • Least R/C >
    • Least Y/C >
    • Most Draws >
    • Least Losses >
    • If there is still a tie, the highest placed player will be decided with a coin flip.
